Upgrade Sid Meier's Railroads! to v1.10 with this patch. Glad to help.Sid Meier's Railroads! by Firaxis - retail v1.10 patch I've now updated the guide to point this out in the "Other issues" section. I've mentioned custom maps being a problem before, but didn't think to include it in the guide. The other location the game crashes while starting. One location the game starts as does the scenario with the custom map. Sadly, both locations (not at same time) cause crashes. fpk files either go in CustomAssets or UserAssets. Originally posted by Nulano:LAA fix works for any 64-bit Windows: So I’ll have to go back to that site and see if there is something about it. I did what he suggested, tried both locations and still crashed. The issue with the custom map is in the readme file the guy says that you may need to put the files in directory A instead of the recommended directory B cause testers of his maps said they experienced crashes. After removing said map from the directories, I started the game using a vanilla map and played for three hours without any issues. Ok so after further investigation, it was a custom map I had installed that was causing the crashes. Any known fixes or workarounds for Win 10 users? LAA fix works for any 64-bit Windows: I see fixes and workarounds for Win Vista, 7, 8 and even XP. Is is some support modality for Steam support that will never come?Ĭan we please NOT launch manually in Administrator mode? Is this a vestigial software tail that Firaxis should have lopped off? "Games Explorer" Product Version 6.17601.18020 on about a 20 second interval I see a gameux.dll active in here typically UX is User Experience jargon. Why does Railroads.Exe spawn a sub-task called Rundll32.exe that goes out to Microsoft? It is a fact that I can execute as Administrator (THANKS wizardtac) but it sure seems like there is no reason to stream back to Redmond WA (on IP 40.113.76.66) when launching from Steam.
